Katelyn is a she-means-style-with-20-years of experience behind the chair. She cares about her clients and takes pride in creating tailored looks. Hair is her one tool to create joy and empowerment. From a try-on upbrief to dye and detox, she handles all textures and lengths with ease, ensuring every guest leaves feeling confident and cared for. Her no-rush, welcoming approach makes the barber chair a safe and comfortable space for connection and conversation. It’s family, friendship, and music that drives her — it’s her passion, and she’s grateful to do what she loves every day.
MR. BROWN
25 CUTTING YEARS
Mr. Brown brings years of expertise and a passion for precision to every haircut. Known for his exceptional skill with fades, lineups, and classic cuts, he delivers consistently sharp results. His calm, professional demeanor makes every visit relaxed and enjoyable.
ANGI
Angi has been in the cosmetology industry for over 15 years. If you need to refresh it, add at Hair HQ to add more, she specializes in cutting, management, education, and building new looks, continuing clients on a set blueprint for the most style. She is currently an instructor at the cosmetology instruction program at Grand Rapids Schools.
LEAH
Leah has been cutting hair for over 17 years! She has a strong eye for men’s and boys’ haircuts. She specializes in razor fades, blade facelinings, and a wide array of cuts. Leah is passionate about delivering precision, confidence-inspiring styles to every client who sits in her chair.
EMILY
Emily is a creative stylist who sees it all in fades, razor fades, unique designs, dry cutting for women’s hair, and much more. She is a passionate professional who uses her ability to create clean, personalized styles that help with a variety of textures and includes a love for making every guest the comfortable hair lover. Content to serve, she enjoys reading, spending quietly, human connection. Emily loves dry cuts/cutting, textures, and unique blade designs. A devoted dog lover, she believes that God is the giver of all these great and beautiful new talents — so everything is perfect only for a gift.
ERICA
Erica has been cutting hair for 25 years, including the last 12 years at Hair HQ. A lifelong resident of the Grand Rapids area, she brings a dedication to her craft through experience and skill. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and keeps a clear relationship to form trust with every client.
VICKIE
OWNER & STYLIST
Vickie brings decades of experience to Hair HQ, with a passion for creating hair designs using her highly tuned eye. A dedicated leader with strong family values, Vickie is committed to serving the whole community. She offers personalized service for everyone and is thrilled when you see your new version of yourself for the first time.
KARISSA
HAIR STYLIST
He beat is the friendly face who helps make Hair HQ running smoothly. As a sophomore in college, she stands in a solid setting that she carries on the shop. She is actively connected in the community and is a member of her high school’s cross country team. School visits to work at the shop, Karissa loves youth group, spending time with family, and being with Bluey.
